As soon as I round the corner, I see I'm in the main living hall of the cave. There is a table and counterspace against one wall off the cavern, and low benches surround a roaring coal fire on the other side of the room. A chimney leading up through the ceiling. Immediately, a man lurches off to his feet from a chair in the corner of the room and rushes towards me.
I'm not allowed to leave the cave. The man and his wife tell me it's for my own good; that the world outside is not fit to live in anymore. I live like a slave to them, working always under the man's eyes. A month into my captivity, I cut myself on an old chisel I was trying to hide in my clothes, and develop a bad infection. My spirit leaves the cave, but my body floats away through underwater rivers to the unknown.
